Lots of pasta. Nuts are good. Bananas (and other fruits) are all simple carbs, which tend to give you a boost right after you eat them, and then leave you sleepy, or go right to your hips, which isn't at all helpful to a hurdler, unless you eat it about 20 minutes before the event. Then again, bananas are no worse than any other fruit. During class, I'd say something like a granola bar or maybe a Powerbar kind of thing wouldn't be bad. Something with whole grains and/or carbs.
